Road Access and Auto Escort Service: During or after a snow storm, the Generals Highway to Montecito is only plowed to the Y area of the road (2 miles past the Kings Canyon National Park entrance) and guests cannot drive to Montecito past this point. Guests must meet Lodge staff at the Grant Grove parking lot for a vehicle/guest escort via a single administrative lane plowed from the Y to Montecito. Guests must contact the property when they arrive at the parking lot. Escort to Montecito is available at 5 PM and from Montecito at 10 AM (times depend on plowing schedule, call 559-565-3388 to confirm escort times). During storm conditions, the National Park Service requests that vehicles are not on the roads after escort at 5 PM. All vehicles are required to carry chains in their vehicle during the winter season (November-May). Highway 180 is the only reliable means of entrance to the property during the snow season. The seasonal pool will be open from June to September. The property has connecting/adjoining rooms, which are subject to availability and can be requested by contacting the property using the number on the booking confirmation. Cashless payment methods are available for all transactions.
