They tried to get our credit card while we were driving to their inn.

This is an old motel that's being run by a nice family. The rooms are simple and a bit dated - if you want smart TVs and lots of USB ports, go elsewhere - but it's clean. The location, set back a couple of hundred feet from Rt. 3 and under 10 miles from Littleton, NH and I-93, means that it's accessible without being loud. The pool was open when I went and it was clean. The price was appropriate for summer near the ski areas of New England. While my room was only one of a couple that were occupied while I was there, perhaps they do lots more business during ski season. (I hope so!) . The woman at the desk (who's probably "Mom" to the kid also behind the desk) was selling Indian butter chicken which I bought and she brought to the room a few minutes later. It was a nice touch. :) In case she's not cooking that day, there are a couple of restaurants that one could walk to and a few very good ones a short drive away.
